Youngest of
three children Pieter Smith was born in 1975 in Potchefstroom. Pieter
was only seven years old when he discovered his love for the guitar.
During High School Pieter performed with several rock bands and after school
he decided to give his solo career a crack. After doing a couple
of gigs in Hatfield Squire in Pretoria, Pieter is spotted by talent scout
Gert Spoelstra. Pieter had a knack of performing a range of old South
African hits and in his medley style of singing, Pieter soon had everybody
singing with him. All this success led to the release of his first
solo CD called "Rooi Kar" featuring his self written hit by the same name.
The rest is history.
