Mel Botes has always wanted to be a musician, ever since his father gave him his first guitar at age eight Mel has been at it. After performing in various country's Mel became one of South Africa's best guitarist. Mel shot to stardom when he starred in the hit television program in 2003 opposite Valiant Swart called "Song vir Katryn". After that Mel went on to become the resident guitar player on Steve Hofmeyr's hit television program called "Dis hoe dit is met Steve". |
