June Kraus,
whose angelic voice has graced the grand opera stages of Salzburg, Vienna,
Nice and Verona and whose love for Africa has seen her make South Africa
her home. June was born in New York and majored in music at the Music and
Art High school in New York. She is also a graduate of the exclusive Juilliard
School of Music which is rated by the U.S. News & World Report as the
institution of higher education. She then went on to Europe where she took
Master Classes in Opera, Concert and Art Songs at the prestigious Mozarteum
in Salzburg. June has performed for both presidents, FW de Klerk and Nelson
Mandela, and has been a sought-after classical recording artist on South
African TV and Radio as well as appearing in many classical concerts/productions,
private soirees and corporate events in South Africa. June is currently
widening her appeal through a new series of “Beautiful Music” concerts
which offer a wide range of music from classics to the more popular ballads
of today and have something for everyone.
