Christo Snyman
, older of the two brothers, started of his singing career at school where
he was head of the choir. With formal training in piano, trumpet
and singing, Christo joins the " Die Kanaries" after school. After
completing his national service, Chrito joins well know South African Singer,
Danie
Botha, as his bass guitarist before going solo. Cobus was also
involved with his school choir as well as " "Die Kanaries". After
being spotted by Danie
Niehaus, Cobus becomes his lead guitarist. In 1992 the two brothers
decided to join forces and started the hit duo "Christo & Cobus".
In 2002 the duo records a Steve
Hofmeyr written song called "Trein na Margate" and the rest is South
African Music history.
